Since being established in 2011 our business has grown in a size and scale beyond our wildest projections. Transforming from a team of less than ten, working from our MD's home office, to over 300 operatives across five regions.
What started as a local groundworks and civil engineering operation in our native Hampshire, is now a thriving cross-county enterprise. Responsible for creating the roads, foundations and essential underground sewer infrastructure that connect new communities across Britain.
Today, we're humbled to count some of the UK's more influential homebuilders among our core clients. As we're increasingly called upon to apply our groundworks expertise to multi-million pound developments taking place throughout Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire, Surrey and Sussex.
Owner and MD Mike Mayock establishes Mackoy in 2011 with nothing more than a handful of staff (and as many plant) with his home office doubling up as the nerve centre of our operations.

Not even halfway through our first year in business we secure our first major deal with house builder Bellway, who award us a £750,000 contract for a 24-unit plot in Bell Davies Road, Stubbington.
Tony joins our Mackoy buying team, taking responsibility for materials acquisition and helping to cost our contract tenders.
Expanding rapidly and attracting increasingly high profile clients Mackoy moves its operations into a standalone Head Office based in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire.

In our first major increase to our fleet since operations began we invest in machines from Volvo. It hails the start of a 6-year relationship working with the manufacturer.
Just a year into business we achieve a major milestone in our company history, winning our first £1 million contract.
After helping to set-up and manage our office operations, Mike's brother John makes the full-time leap into Mackoy's leadership team, stepping into the role of Finance Director.

In July 2016 we begin work on a £5 million contract in Ferndown, Dorset to provide the full groundworks infrastructure for 148 brand new residential units being developed by Bellway.
Shortly before Bellway bring us in for works at Ferndown, CALA award us a £3.4million contract for 75 homes, external works and drainage in Medstead, in what becomes our first major contract with the developer in the South.
In an expansion to our leadership team Danny Bowers steps into the role of Construction Director, helping to oversee development at each of our worksites.
In May we break ground on a new groundworks contract for Persimmon homes in Portchester, a residential development delivering 120 new homes.

In our ongoing bid to continually improve health, safety, environmental and quality standards at Mackoy we bring in David Bacon in the newly created role of SHEQ Manager.
In an expansion to our top-level leadership team Mackoy appoints Kieran Walsh as Mackoy's Commercial Manager. Kieran joins from our quality surveying team, following four years service at Mackoy.
Barratt engage our groundworks services for 100 residential units and roads in Whitchurch, Hampshire, a contract worth £5.5 million.
Just seven years into operations we secure our 20th contract with Bellway. This time for a £7 million groundworks deal taking place in Emsworth.

Work begins on the groundworks infrastructure for 420 new homes in Binfield, Berkshire, a £5 million groundworks contract for Mackoy.
2018 delivers our first partnership with homebuilder Redrow, a £1.8 million groundworks contract to install infrastructure for new homes and roads at the developer's Osborne Gate at Jennetts Park site.
Following a successful trial identifying air picks as a safer means of excavating by hand we roll out air digging across all our worksites.
