Expanding Romsey's housing stock

The quaint market town of Romsey in Hampshire has long been a coveted catchment for homeowners looking for a leafy suburb that equally offers great amenities and schools. But with housing stock within the town's historic centre at a minimum, developers looking to capitalise on Romsey's enduring popularity have had to turn their attentions to the surrounding vicinity.

Which is precisely what Wyatt Homes and Morrish Builders did when they joined forces in a consortium deal to build a new development of houses in Luzborough, just 1.8 miles from Romsey Town Centre.

Hi-spec homes in a covetable catchment

Local planning authorities granted Wyatt Homes and Morrish Builders permission for 56 new residential units on the Luzborough Green plot. Which the developers opted to split into 2,3 and 4 bedroom homes to appeal to as wide a range of buyers as possible.

We were awarded the £3 million contract to complete the entire groundworks infrastructure for all 56 new domestic dwellings, including sewer works, drainage, surfacing and roads. With the total development works on site estimated to take close to 18 months (weather permitting) and excavations for the initial earthworks beginning to plan in September of 2017.

Benefitting from excellent transport links

Now approaching its final phase, and with work on site expected to wrap up in early 2019, the new homes are almost ready for occupancy. With the exteriors bearing many hallmark features that emulate the original character of the buildings found in Romsey town itself. Further cementing the connection between the new community and its largest local neighbour.

The internal finishings are equally as impressive with a strong design scheme, completed to excellent quality standards, in keeping with Luzborough Green's desirable postcode. In fact the site not only benefits from proximity to Romsey, with its mainline rail station, but also M27 and M3 transport links to Southampton, Winchester and the New Forest National Park. Emphasising the appeal of living in Luzborough Green's semi-rural location.
