Helping Osborne Gate at Jennetts Park take shape
July 2018 saw Mackoy begin work on our inaugural contract with Redrow, a £1.8 million groundworks infrastructure deal in Bracknell. Helping to create a new community of stylish 1 and 2 bed apartments, sitting alongside 3-bed houses. With works on the site expected to complete within a 12-month timeframe.
In fact not only are we undertaking the earthworks, setting out, foundations, and all excavations to connect essential services on site. Our team of dumper drivers, road sweepers, excavators and groundworkers will also be developing the entire road network and parking bays at Osborne Gate at Jennetts Park over the course of our year-long tenure for Redrow.
Getting safety standards off to a flying start
Upon gaining access to the site in July our team, under the direction of Site Foreman Shane Wheeler, were quick to set about making the workspace safe for all operatives. Establishing designated traffic and pedestrian routes, as well as using best practice dust suppression techniques to minimise dust generation during excavations. Together with ensuring all operatives wore Fit Tested facemasks while undertaking groundworks in the hot weather.
Initiatives such as these are all part and parcel of protecting our team and those working alongside us. Something our SHEQ Manager David Bacon pays close attention to when he assesses health and quality standards on his weekly site visits. Ensuring the welfare provisions we outline in our Good Practice Guide are put into effect on each of our live builds.
Welcoming the first wave of homeowners
Osborne Gate at Jennetts Park is on target for completion in summer 2019, and Redrow have wasted no time in marketing the forthcoming units to potential buyers. Many of whom will be attracted to the development because of its idyllic location within the heart of Bracknell's countryside. Coupled with the benefit of local amenities a mere 10 minutes drive from the site. Along with the Peacock Farm Public House just a few minutes stroll away.
Prices for a 3-bedroom house begin at £409,950 and each home has been given a character appearance, with red brick exteriors in a contemporary treatment. With the homes on site also offering residents a private garden, perfect for families considering relocating to the area. While local rail and road services, providing direct connections to Reading and London, will no doubt appeal to commuters.
For over 40 years Redrow have developed imaginatively designed award-winning homes in outstanding locations throughout England and Wales.
